Remember

Take turns reading our values and remembering why we are together:

We are Committed: We are committed to loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving others like He loves us.

We are Confidential: We value and trust each other, so we share openly and honestly with each other and what is shared in the group stays in the group.

We are Changing: We are growing to be more like Jesus, obeying His commands and filled with His Spirit.

We are Christ-Centered: In Jesus, we find God’s presence to guide us, His grace to forgive us, and His power to change us.

We are AcCountable: We encourage each other, help each other and expect each other to love and live like Jesus.

We are Connected: We meet every week, pray for each other every day, and share our lives as we obey and follow Jesus together.

We are Capable: By His Holy Spirit, God gives us the love and power we need to obey and follow Jesus.

We are Commissioned: We are all commissioned by Jesus to make disciples, so we are all committed to starting new groups so that others can learn to love and live like Jesus.

We are Consistent: We consistently follow this guide because it is based on God’s word and it helps equip each member to lead Cgroups and to make disciples.

Take turns answering the following questions:

  • Who did God lead you to this week?
  • What did you ask Jesus to do for them?
  • What did you do this week to bring an unconnected friend closer to Jesus?
  • How did it go with your "By God's grace I will..." commitment statements?
  • What has been your greatest challenge or temptation recently? How can the group help you?
  • What are you thankful for this week?

Discover

Pray for God to speak through His Word and to guide your discovery time.

Choose a Scripture Set from HERE.

Have two or three members read the passage, perhaps in different translations.

Take turns simply re-telling the passage. (This will help you remember it and share it with others.)

Take turns answering the following questions:

  • What does the passage teach us about God?
  • What does the passage teach us about people?
  • Based on what God has shown me today, what am I going to start, stop, or continue? (Each person commits to obeying what they have learned by crafting a statement beginning with "By God's grace I will...")
  • With Whom will you share what you learned this week?
  • What will you do this week to bring an unconnected friend closer to Jesus?

Pray

Pray for each other asking God to help you obey and follow Jesus as you put into practice what you have learned today. Ask for God to lead each member to others who need to know that Jesus loves them and cares about them.
